Hey y’all! Today was my last day spent in Amsterdam. We started off the day by waking up later than yesterday (8:30-ish today) so that we could go to our favorite pancake place- the one we ate at yesterday where I got the veggie dutch pancake. I ended up getting another veggie pancake and it was just as good the second time around.
After breakfast, we went to the flower market. Oh. My. Goodness. I have never seen so many flowers and tulips in my whole life. This market really makes me want to come back in April for the tulip festival. This flower market is just an outdoor event on the street with a bunch of tent shops selling tulip bulbs or fully grown flowers. There are also souvenirs and knick-knacks. I snagged some cool pictures while I was here! (I saw some cool cacti and I figured everyone loves cacti so why not have a photoshoot with them)
After that, my brothers and dad went to do their own thing while my mom and I shopped around a bit. We were mainly shopping in little boutiques on Elandsgracht Centrum, a street with really cute shops. After a while spent shopping, we went to lunch at a place where my brother got pizza and I got a salad.
Today wasn’t too out of the ordinary- we didn’t have anything planned, but I still had a lot of fun. We went to the Thai restaurant (AGAIN!) because we just love the chicken fried rice there! After that, we ate some Apple pie at a place called Winkel- it was so good!
My favorite part about today was the weather. It was supposed to rain all day long, but it was actually quite warm and sunny! I would much rather have the heat and sunshine than the clouds and rain.
Tomorrow we are heading to Paris, France, by train. We are leaving our apartment at 7:00, so we have yet again another early morning! See y’all soon for the next post!
