Dallas, Texas will always hold a special place in my heart. One of my best friends, Emma, lives there and this is the city that my parents met and went to college in. One of my roommates and my very good friend, Christine, lives here, too!
I go to Dallas quite often, now that I think about it. I love the atmosphere, the city feel, and of course all of the yummy food. At my school, we have something called “Jan Term” where there are three extra weeks for the students to have the option to take a class for more credits. Being a junior, I have never taken classes during Jan Term, so I just travel instead. For the past two years, three including 2017, I have gone to Dallas to visit my friend, Emma.
While I was in Dallas, we mainly relaxed, but we also went to a lot of good restaurants. Some of my favorites were Hop Doddy Burger Bar, Milk & Cream, and OddFellows. HopDoddy is a great burger place and I’ve heard that their milkshakes are out of this world. Next time, I’ll have to try their milkshakes. Reason why I didn’t get one this time is because we were planning on going to Milk & Cream, a dessert place where they serve ice cream sandwiches with donuts instead of cookies. Yum! This dessert was so good and decadent- I ate the whole thing! I definitely had a tummy ache, but it was so worth it!
OddFellows is a coffee shop in Deep Ellum, a up and coming area of Dallas with cute shops. We walked around here and ended the mini-trip by sitting in OddFellows coffee shop. They sell food and drinks, but Emma decided to get their cold-brew coffee, which was too pretty not to take a picture of!
Overall, Dallas was so fun and the pictures tell more than I can. What are your must-do things in Dallas?
