Pretty soon, it will be Fall. Isn’t that a weird thought? I feel like I was just in my freshman year and now I’m
sad feeling bittersweet that summer is officially over. I’m sad because I’ve left home, but on the flip side, college.
I’m so excited to be back in school. I absolutely love my school, so I’m more happy than sad to be transitioning into Fall.
I really love the season of Fall. I especially love the way the leaves change. Because where I live, we have no seasons (basically), last year was my first time experiencing the change of seasons. I love the pretty colors, the cute clothes, and the warmth of Fall. I also love my memories that I have of Fall from when I was little.
For some of y’all, Fall means cold weather. For me, it means cold(er) weather, maybe. If you are used to working out outside, fall might be ending your fitness routine that you took so long to make a habit. Although you may not be able to swim or surf in the Fall, you can still have fun, or as much fun as you can have while working out!
Hula Hoop Outside // Okay, please don’t laugh, but I absolutely love to hula hoop. I’ve had this hobby since third grade or so and I can dance and walk while hula hooping. It’s a great ab workout, and it’ll be fun to do outside in the pretty weather!
Go for a run (walk) // This season is the perfect time to go for a run. Not only will you get some fresh air, but you will also be able to see the beautiful leaves changing. I, myself, will be walking versus running. Yes, for a while there I did love to run, but I think that I loved the results more than the process. My knee was also starting to hurt from running so often :(
Hike // I think that I will definitely be doing this! In Alabama, there are a lot of fun trails to hike on, so I will most likely be there on the weekends. Hiking is really good exercise- you work harder than you’d think!
Workout with Friends // Once it gets cooler outside, most people (me) typically tend to slowly stop working out because it’s inconvenient with all the other commitments and responsibilities they have. My advice is to find some friends who want to workout, and you will stay more committed!
Zumba // If where you live is getting especially cold, I definitely recommend staying in shape with Zumba! At my school, there is a sweet instructor who lived on my hall last year! She is so sweet and makes Zumba so much fun! We have Zumba indoors, so this isn’t a problem when the weather isn’t nice!
