Sweetly Sally

real never goes out of style

Munich, Germany | Day 3

May 31, 2016

Hi! Today we left Zurich, Switzerland to hop on a bus to Munich, Germany. We woke up at about 7:00 and it was already raining, so it was a good day to leave! After the three hour bus ride (where I slept almost the entire time), we arrived in Munich. The weather today was less than desirable, though. It was overcast and rainy all day long. The temperatures slowly dropped and I think that at one point I saw some snow! Cold rain is not fun, but we still had a fun time.

Because we got to Munich at about 12:00, we only had a half day here. We still have two more days, though, which is exciting! We haven’t made plans for the next few days- hopefully the temperatures rise. I have still been feeling the effects of my sinus infection, so the cold weather definitely has not put me in the best mood.

My favorite part about today was probably seeing the “Ice Box.” This is a river that flows and surfers come and surf in the river! It is so cool to watch these talented people. It really is amazing. I would definitely recommend seeing this. It is just by the English Gardens, which is the largest public park in Europe, as someone told us.

I also enjoyed seeing the famous Glockenspiel. This is a famous clock that, in a sense, puts on a show every hour. It is in the center of an avenue of shopping, so it’s hard to miss. For lunch, we went to a beer house where (once again) my family ate sausage. I had chicken of course.

I also had a really good pretzel with butter inside. It was so tasty and I want another one already!

Today was a long and cold day- I’m so sleepy! The cold weather and rain definitely wore me out. More to come for tomorrow, Day 4!
