It seems like I am constantly purchasing three things: colored pens, nail polish, and notebooks. They all are just so colorful, and every time I can justify my purchase. A new nail polish colors means that it might be my new favorite color and it’s limited edition… So I have to get it. New colored pens means that my notes for school are colorful and I can doodle, which means entertainment. And new notebooks means that I can designate a new notebook for something. At this point, I have so many notebooks, but I’m so glad that I have them. I mainly use two notebooks, though. One for journaling and one for blogging.
I love having notebooks because I can jot down my thoughts in an instant, and I can refer back to them easily.
I love having my journal notebook because I write down my daily thoughts and things that are going on in my life. I like to write down my thoughts because it’s interesting to go back a couple a months to see how much has changed in my life. Going back and looking at the past can really show God’s glory and His power because the future and His plans are always so much better than we could have planned.
I like having a notebook for blogging for two main reasons:
Sometimes a blog post idea just comes to me randomly, and I like jotting it down. It’s nice to keep all of the ideas together, too. Yes, I realize that I could write it in the Note section of my phone, but then I would have no use for a pretty notebook, and I don’t want a pretty notebook to go to waste.
I also like to have this blogging notebooks for statistics and other miscellaneous things. I like to write down dates that I applied for certain things so that if I’m not accepted, I can wait a reasonable amount of time before reapplying. I also like to write down my highest viewed days and even my favorite bloggers to check up on.
Personally, I love having notebooks and I think that they are so handy! I love the tiny ones especially because they fit nicely in a purse or backpack for on the go ideas. And, if you’re stuck in an airport, have free time, or don’t have your phone on you for some odd reason, you can doodle in your notebook, catch up in your journal, or work on a new blog post! Yay for organization!
