Outfit Repeater

We are finally in Paris! While my parents and I were on our way to Paris, we decided to stop by Stuttgart, Germany, for a quick museum hop! My family is a huge fan of museums, so we try to go to as many as possible- Europe or otherwise!

Right in front of the museum was this beautiful park with bright green grass that smelled just as pretty as it looked! If you haven’t already seen my most recent fashion posts, first of all, go check those out under my “travel” tab, and second of all, I have been repeating outfits and repeating articles of clothing. That’s not what a fashion blogger does, right?

Well, you see, I am in Europe for one and a half months. I have a small carryon suitcase. Therefore, I had to pack about 5 tops, 4 bottoms, 1 dress, and three pairs of shoes and I had to make it work. Therefore, I am an outfit repeater. Big time.

For these fashion posts for my time in Europe, I am kind of showing y’all how to mix and match clothes to create new looks! You’ll probably see this shirt in a future post, but styled differently. You’ve already seen these jeans in this post. You’ve seen these shoes, here.

I honestly am a big fan of rewearing clothes, being an outfit repeater. Sometimes I don’t understand how people buy a dress, wear it once, and don’t wear it again for months or a year. How can you justify that purchase?! The clothes I like to buy are the ones that I want to wear day in and day out. I don’t want a dress that I will just wear one day out of 365. I want the dress that I want to wear every single day of the year. Who cares if I repeat an outfit?

I think that there is sometimes a stigma with fashion bloggers that the clothes always have to be new and trendy, and there can never be a repetition of clothing. Is that even realistic? I don’t know about you, but I can’t afford to buy new clothes for every fashion shoot, especially as a college student! When did fashion blogging become only wearing the “it” item and wearing an item of clothing once? I’m not saying that all fashion bloggers do this, but it just sometimes seems like it. I know, I know, I don’t see the bloggers on their days off, when they aren’t shooting a fashion post, etc. I am just saying that I think fashion bloggers can be more relatable when they reuse and re-wear some pieces from other outfits. Ya know?

Okay, my rant is over.

This look is one of my many travel day outfits. I love this top because A, it is flowy, and B, it doesn’t wrinkle. It’s the perfect travel top if you ask me! These jeans are my favorites. I have this brand in three different washes/styles and I’m hooked! Because they’re so long, I have to roll them though. I might get them hemmed when I’m back in the US! Lastly, the shoes. These have been my go-to shoes because they go with everything and they provide good support! I bought these shoes mainly because they go with everything and they have more support than my typical Converse, but I’ve really grown a liking to them! As you can see, I am a total dork and had to put on some black socks because I got terrible blisters on day 2 of this trip. I definitely should have broken them in beforehand!

I have been loving Europe so far and I can’t believe how fast time has gone by! I am continually uploading vlogs, so make sure that you are subscribed so you can follow me around as I explore Europe!

I’m definitely with you-totally okay to wear clothes on repeat! Also, having the wallet to constantly buy new clothes is just not there.
Loving the the name of this post too! Reminds me of Lizzie McGuire!

Yes, exactly! It’s not realistic to buy a new outfit everyday! Thanks for reading, Caitlin!

It totally should be acceptable to be an outfit repeater, I think I have weaned away from fashion on my blog is because I repeat outfits, but I think I want to give it another spin. I love the basics and that’s a major reason why I love your style, I would rather rock a pair of jeans and a flowy shirt than some, $50+ dollar shirt that will only be in season for a couple of weeks. Thanks for being awesome

A M E N! Basics are the glue that hold outfits together, in my opinion! Repeating outfits is my favorite! Thanks for reading, Megan!
