Last day in Paris! I cannot believe how the time has flown. Today was our last day in Paris. We leave tomorrow to head to two more places before leaving for the States.
Today in our last day, we headed to Victor Hugo, a big shopping avenue (because sales!!) and although we didn’t find anything to buy, it turned into a beautiful walk. We then met my dad at the L’Arc de Triomphe so that we could walk to Les Champs Elysees to get some lunch. We went to a random Italian place for lunch. It wasn’t superior, but it wasn’t terrible either. I can’t even remember the name of it, so it obviously didn’t leave a big impression on me. My dad went to Giverny today, the place where Monet famously painted his water lilies. Because it hasn’t been raining here (PTL!), Giverny was open- not flooded or swampy. While my dad was taking his day trip, my mom and I headed to the left bank for more shopping and then we did something very exciting.
Since the first day I arrived in Paris, I have wanted to go to a special exhibit. Guess which one. Okay, y’all probably won’t guess, but it’s the Barbie exhibit!!! How exciting is that! So anyways, since the first day I arrived, I made it a point that I had to go to this exhibit. I mean, how often do you get to go into an art museum filled with pink and dolls and toys? My inner child came out and I had a blast. It was actually quite crowded, but it was so amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much pink… and it was a dream come true. I’m a pink girl, so seeing bright pink everywhere was just lovely. Just keep on scrolling down if you don’t want to see all of my Barbie pics!
After we finished at this exhibit, we headed to dinner because it was getting late. I think that because the sun sets very late here (9:00!!), we always eat very late and go to sleep super late! It’s been weird, but it will help when we are trying to switch back to the Eastern time zone. For our last Parisian dinner, we tried a new place! Yep, I don’t remember the name of it because it wasn’t super amazing, but I was satisfied. I think that next time I go to Paris, I need to have an arsenal of restaurants that are good. Do y’all have any good recommendations?
We got our very last chocolate crepe and then headed back to the apartment. Tomorrow we have a very early morning- 5:00 AM kind of early! Staying in Paris has been an absolute dream and although this trip is coming to an end, I will forever remember this trip. It has been so amazing and eye-opening. I’ll talk to y’all later!
