This past Saturday, my roommate and I decided to drive 4 hours to go to the beach at Seaside.

It was such a last minute decision and I am so happy we did this! Emily and I left at about 6AM and made it to Seaside, Florida 10:30 because we of course had to stop at Donut Hole to get some donuts before hitting up the beach.

We made it to the beach around 11 and laid out for a while before heading in to get lunch. For lunch, we ate at the cute food trucks along the beach road- I got Pickles and Emily got her grilled cheese. After this, we laid out some more, finally got in the water and then headed in.

It is so funny because we were the only ones there to take pictures. Therefore, I had to whip out my camera remote to take pictures of the two of us! We looked so ridiculous, but I think that the pictures turned out great.

The weather was absolutely beautiful. As you can see in the pictures, the water was crystal clear and there was not a cloud in the sky. At night we started to get cold, but during the day, it was a solid seventy-five degrees and sunny.

As college students, we always say that we are going to do something spontaneous and fun, but we never actually do it. Year three of college and here we are! We finally bit the bullet and just did it. It was honestly one of the best days ever because we got to just hang out one-on-one and we didn’t have any boundaries. We could be free and travel wherever and we had the whole day to do whatever we wanted. Emily and I had so much fun giggling, tanning (+ getting burned), talking, singing, and eating. I absolutely love how this day turned out.

We ate at Wine World and then headed to Sundog Bookstore before getting ice cream. We left Seaside at about 8PM and made it back around 1 AM! I am so happy that we finally made a day trip somewhere! Hopefully there are more day trips in the future!

THAT WATER IS SO CLEAR!!!!!!! So jealous because Jersey beaches (2 hours from me) look brown. Brownish green? Definitely not that pretty! Also, how did you get such great pics in the bright direct sun?! Teach my your ways!
