I know that you have probably seen a post like this before, but this is my take on what apps college student should have on their iPads or iPhones. What’s different from other posts is that all of these aren’t all studious apps. There are some that I have found I couldn’t have survived my first semester without! And anyways, don’t you feel more productive when you have your iPad in class and you are just typing away? Apps are a lifesaver and they save so much time!
The first app that I have to recommend is the app, Group Me. This is basically a group chat app that helps you connect with people. This is so very helpful because you can make your own group chat with people from your class, people on your hall, some of your girlfriends, or maybe even your sorority! This is my number one app to have. I can’t live without it.
Next, I recommend Spotify! I’m sure you have heard of this free app before because it is very popular and it is similar to Pandora. You can also download Spotify on your computer, which is so useful when studying! On Spotify, you can make playlists of your favorite songs, your study songs, your workout songs, and you can share them with other people! So this is also a good way to find new music while finding new friends!
Pump Up is a workout app, but hey, I found it really useful in my first semester. In this app, you can choose and customize your own workout and what makes this app great is you can do these exercises in your dorm room, or at the gym! This app also gives you the option to target different muscles. Read about my workout plan in college to stay fit here!
Sleep Cycle is more of a cool, tech-y app more over than anything else. This app tracks your sleep and gives you results in the morning on how you slept! It also has an alarm built into the app so that it wakes you up at the “right” time, meaning that it wakes you up in a window of 30 minutes so that you aren’t as tired.
Cartwheel by Target is a must have for college students! Because we all go to target oh so much, and most of us college students are on a budget, this app helps you save money in Target, how cool! You can see the current things on sale, or you can scan the items in your cart and it will give you the appropraite coupons if they exist! Then, at checkout, the cashier will scan your custom barcode, and voila! You save money!
This app is kind of a given, but if you don’t have it, go download Instagram and follow me! This app helps me keep up with all of my friends, at school and back at home, and it can help you learn people’s names by seeing their pictures! It’s a really fun app to have, not just in college, and I personally love it!
This is one of the only studious apps that I have on my iPad, but let me tell you, this app rocks. Notability is basically the coolest note taking app because you can download your word document assignments onto the app and you can either type and take notes, or write and take notes. You can also highlight the words from the document! This is probably the most efficient app that I’ve found for taking notes, in high school and college!
